Over the years Eric has lent his musical talent to the stages of The Grand Ole Opry, The Ralph Emery Show, and Hee Haw. Still today He is known across the country as “Smiley,” a name given by faithful Dixie Melody Boy fans. Embarking on a new ministry, in September 2011 Eric joined his wife, Laura aboard Mountain Ridge Ministries, the ministry she founded in 2008. “I love the opportunity God has given me to travel with my family.” - Eric

Laura married her high school sweetheart in 1993. She is a published Christian Author, Songwriter – Recording Artist and noted Speaker. She holds a degree in Veterinary Medical Technology, as well as, diplomas in Women’s Ministry and Biblical counseling. Laura currently working on her Bachelors degree in Theology and Biblical Studies a

Payton is excited anytime someone wants to sit and talk about the history of Southern Gospel Music. Citing each group and its members along with the details of the bus they traveled in. It’s that love that has developed Payton’s heroes of the craft; George Younce, JD Sumner, Big Chief and currently Gene McDonald. When home, Payton spends his time hunting, fishing and trapping.
